Oh, oh oh..... XD XD XD

    Nik has cause for celebration.

The sword that was broken has been reforged....

Oh. Nik says it wasn't a sword. But it has sword-like capabilities sometimes. And it's been fixed. So, reforged in a sense.

So yes. As some of you may have guessed, Nik has his old cello back.

Happy happy happy (lets be friends maintenance box)

So yes. I'm going to go practice now. XD

Can I be the one to sacrifice?

I am the only one to blame for this
Somehow it all adds up the same
Soaring on the wings of selfish pride
I flew too high and like Icarus I collide
With a world I try so hard to leave behind
To rid myself of all but love
    to give and die

To turn away and not become
Another nail to pierce the skin of one who loves
    more deeply than the oceans,
    more abundant than the tears
Of a world embracing every heartache

Can I be the one to sacrifice?
Or grip the spear and watch the blood and water flow

To love you - take my world apart
To need you - I am on my knees
To love you - take my world apart
To need you - broken on my knees

All said and done I stand alone
Amongst remains of a life I should not own
It takes all I am to believe
In the mercy that covers me

Did you really have to die for me?
All I am for all you are
Because what I need and what I believe are worlds apart

    [Additional lyrics:]

I look beyond the empty cross
forgetting what my life has cost
and wipe away the crimson stains
and dull the nails that still remain
More and more I need you now,
I owe you more each passing hour
the battle between grace and pride
I gave up not so long ago
So steal my heart and take the pain
and wash the feet and cleanse my pride
take the selfish, take the weak,
and all the things I cannot hide
take the beauty, take my tears
the sin-soaked heart and make it yours
    take my world all apart
take it now, take it now
and serve the ones that I despise
speak the words I can't deny
watch the world I used to love
fall to dust and thrown away
I look beyond the empty cross
forgetting what my life has cost
so wipe away the crimson stains
and dull the nails that still remain
so steal my heart and take the pain
take the selfish, take the weak
and all the things I cannot hide
take the beauty, take my tears
take my world apart, take my world apart
    I pray, I pray, I pray
    take my world apart

    Worlds Apart

    Changing normal

If you put your arms around me
Could it change the way I feel
I guess I let myself believe
    That the outside might just
    Bleed it's way in
    Maybe stir the sleeping past
    Lying under glass
    Waiting for the kiss
    That breaks this awful spell
Pull me out of this lonely cell

Close my eyes and hold my heart
Cover me and make me something
    Change this something normal
    Into something beautiful

What I get from my reflection
    Isn't what I thought I'd see
    Give me reason to believe
    Never leave me incomplete
Will you untie this loss of mine
    It so easily defines me
Do you see it on my face?
And all I can think about
    Is how long
I've been waiting to feel you move me

    Into something beautiful
    Into something beautiful

And I'm still fighting for the
    Word to break these chains
And I still pray when I look
In your eyes, you'll stare right
    Back down into something beautiful

    Into something beautiful
    Into something beautiful
    Into something beautiful

    Jars of Clay
    Something Beautiful

This, this is the one thing that I know

    Arms nailed down,
    are you telling me something?
    Eyes turned out,
    are you looking for someone?

    This is the one thing,
The one thing that I know.

    Blood-stained brow,
    are you dying for nothing?
    Flesh and blood,
    is it so elemental?

    This is the one thing,
The one thing that I know.

    Blood-stained brow,
    He wasn't broken for nothing.
    Arms nailed down,
    He didn't die for nothing.

    This is the one thing,
The one thing that I know.

When it rains, it pours, and when it speaks...

    ...it howls.

    AAWWWWWOOOOOOO.......

Vaughan Williams' Symphony No. 5, Chariots of Fire, Catch Me If You Can, Star Wars Ep. II & V, and select other movie themes. All in one snag. That's 3 more hours added to my music library. Near priceless. The Imperial March, Chariots of Fire, theme from Princess Bride, Across the Stars, and many other wonderful pieces of music.

For those of you interested, the London Philharmonic plays the Vaughan Williams Symphony 5 Scherzo movement at 104. The Lethbridge Symphony plays it at 92. Vaughan Williams' written speed, 120, would be pretty much insane.

Still on my list of soundtracks to get:

    Lord of War

    Batman Begins

    Serenity

    The Aviator

    Braveheart

    Job hunting, here I come...

    Molto Psycho Franticissimo

It’s scary when a conductor points directly at you for a tuning problem. It really is. One moment you’re blissfully playing your note of a chord, the next moment the all-mighty finger of God is pointed square between your eyeballs, accusing you of a sin worthy of death.

Hum de dum…Oh no! He’s pointing at me! What do I do? What do I do? Play quieter…He’s still pointing! QUIETER!!!! HE'S POINTING!!!! STOP PLAYING!!! Um...He’s still pointing.

I’ve taken a liking to the Vaughan Williams Symphony. Movements III & IV make Movements I & II worth playing.

I'm looking for a name/title for Andrea and my duet groupie thingie. Anybody got any suggestions?

Confessions of a teenage emo king

So I have a confession to make.

    My. Hair. Is. Not. Black.

    It's fire-freaking-engine-red.

    It's not dyed, either.

You know what the crappy thing about the English language is? You can't distinguish between certain singular and plurals. Like fish. Or moose. Or sheep. Or hair.

It would be so weird if I wound up with a natural red emo stripe....

I'll keep you posted. So far, there's only been one red hair. But, where there's one...there's two. And where there's two, there's a crowd. And if there's a crowd, Nik goes "AAAUGGGHHHH!!!!!!"

    Oh dear, oh dear.

I can no longer honestly answer 'yes' to the question 'So, is your hair naturally that black?'

    'No, it's a blue-black with a few strands of fire-freaking-engine-red.'

Hmm...on second thought, that has a bit of ring to it...

All quiet on the Western Front...

So it's been a rather slow week...

I moved back into my totally uncompleted room. I scored two goals and got two assists at hockey.

Reality strikes tommorow. School, cello lesson, and symphony practice. The rest of the week ain't gonna be much better. Stay tuned for the Weekly Feature...
